A member of ARM (A Reyvateil's Melody) since October of 2009, Chaude has been working on his short story and helping with Trass and the Forum member's ARM: Game, while gladly helping anybody with story telling questions and character development.

Personal History:

Early Childhood:

Born in Iowa, US, Chaude has two older siblings and parents involved in church matters a lot. Moved into IL at the age of 5, Chaude had difficulties in getting acquainted with new peers. Every few years, because of Chaude's father's occupation in Lutheran church affairs, would move to a new location, with different attitudes and different population demographics. What possible friends Chaude could've made or just made with a month to 3 years, after 2 years of isolation since moving into a new location, would move again and sadden by the circumstances, and repeat the cycle.

Duality Perspective:

The life of a P.K. proved more difficult than being bulled at school for being considered an outsider. On the one hand, the fun and excitement Chaude's peers were having were interesting to try out and be accepted, though sometimes wrong, but on the other hand, being a P.K. meant higher moral standards than most of his peers. As those peers discovered that aspect of Chaude, he was left with solitude, coping with it on the basis that he'd move again if he was caught in "undignified" activities that the church council and his father would be disapproving on. To avoid conflicts, Chaude tirelessly observed actions and reactions of others that could better predict the outcome of others. In doing so, could he hope to move beyond the two worlds that always conflicted with one another.

Video games:

Living in a life of solitude at a very young age, Chaude had been introduced to the Nintendo game system by his older brother at the age of 5, but didn't really get into it until he started to get bored at home and with no one to play with him. Spending countless days playing Sonic the Hedgehog, Echo the Dolphin, and others, Chaude valued greatly this invention. As he grew up, the complexity of video games (a.k.a. RPGs) intrigued the young Chaude, and developed his social skills via RPG dialogue. Continued on Gaming subsection.

School:

Gone through different schools because of relocation(kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th-9th, and 10th-12th grades) due to his father's occupation, Chaude was also diagnosed with a learning disability and a speech impediment at the age of 4. Pulled out of regular L.A. classes, Chaude underwent what he would later discover in college, non-mainstream learning. Essentially, pulled from his peers and grouped with other disabled peers, and treated like a mentally handicapped person that didn't have a chance to do something right with his life. Not delving any further of that experience, after two classmates used higher level vocabulary words to confuse Chaude for fun, the blaze of desire flickered for once in his life and strove to prove everybody who ever wronged him wrong. Not with violence, no, but something greater, sweeter, by doing what some may call impossible for the norm. Getting out of Special Education.

From a low-C grade learner, Chaude improved to B-average, and wouldn't get his chance to prove himself to be mainstreamed back into regular classrooms until 8th grade. The motherly type of special ed. teacher had allowed Chaude to try out a regular L.A. classroom. After being mainstreamed into it, Chaude never looked back. Or at least until next year in high school and was forced back into special ed. classes again. Working his way up, his desire got him back in a regular English classroom in the second half of the school year. Having moved again, Chaude had to cope with the same problem, but with even more resistant special educators that wouldn't let him mainstream until Jr. year of high school. By the time high school was over, Chaude had enrolled and passed Advance Biology, Advanced Civics, and other mainstream classes, and was ranked 27th of 129 in the class.

Gaming:

For much of Chaude's experiences, gaming (and anime) was the only means to talk to his peers on a more meaningful level. It was also his redemption into society, to be accepted. After playing Star Ocean 2: 2nd story, Chaude felt the hardship of the hero of the story "Claude", as Chaude could relate to this fictional character. A father shadow who overhangs over him, respected by others because of his father, not of his own merit, chained down by invisible restraints, and down to the personality being somewhat similar. That would define much about Chaude, but Chad from the Megaman NT Warrior would define his studious, desire to change side of him. Originally calling himself "Maverick", Chaude eventually switched to his current name that suited his personality better, rather than alienating himself anymore from society.

His first ever friend played Pokemon with him in 5th grade, and the two continued to be good friends until Chaude had to move at the end of 9th grade. The move was more devastating than as a child, however, there were others who appreciated gaming. That got Chaude into Marching Band, playing the Marching Baritone and valved trombone during Concert Band, and Drama, played Marcel in "The Boyfriend", various roles in "Fractured Fairytales" (notably the Frog Prince and Knight from the Seven Chickens), and Sonny from "Grease." After high school, Chaude finally got to have his own computer and found the freedom on the internet. Spending another 5 years, Chaude had read about Ar Tonelico on GameFaqs's website, but didn't have the title in local electronic stores for the longest time. Until near the end of his college days, Chaude finally found AT2, played it and loves it. Finding some desktop pics, Chaude stumbled upon a picture used in Dexas's visual novel that lead to ARM. Lurking for a couple days, Chaude, after years of being cautious around others, held with responsibilities that others never experienced the same way, felt comfortable, safe enough to socialize and interact in without weary of being treated as an outsider and scapegoated.

Slowly, Chaude has been opening himself up, not to be noticed and sympathized with, but to be understood and perhaps fully accepted.

College

With everyone Chaude once knew going their separate ways, the nature of all good things eventually come to an end, Chaude has sought for his purpose in life. Obtained an associates degree in History, and a B.S. in History, Chaude is still uncertain what truly motivates him, still missing that sense of purpose. Wandering, Chaude seeks it while helping others along the way.

A Reyvateil's Melody:

Came to the forum as a studious, yet timid member in the introductions thread, Chaude was welcomed with a wave of warmth. After creating his first RT, Kaylan, Chaude has been getting involved in a couple projects. One is his own short story about Kaylan, with a helpful coauthor, while the other project is helping with the ARM: Game. Helping others with character development or story telling, Chaude has no problem answering any questions and wants to help those in need that he is capable in helping with.
