The story of the cards
The story you read on the cards is under the "Many Tales" stories whenever Suiseiseki makes a new set not named Special Edition (since that set is just random). He made ones for Card Captor Sakura, Rozen Maiden and Maria-sama ga Miteru for instance.
The storyline is under AT-AT3 (the AT3 part won't be available anytime soon since he hasn't read the story in full yet) and each set reflects the story.
It's a fanfic, though only told via the cards themselves. Then you piece them together!
So far, there are the set under Ar Tonelico Side.
Ar Tonelico (360 Cards except Promos) - First of the Malice Ascension, her appearance, the reunion of the cast and her assault over the two main areas in AT-AT2.
Malice (180 Cards except Promos) - Malice gains full control of Hymmnos, with the force that destroys the very heart of the songs, the Broken Hymn.
Over There (100-120 Cards, not yet final) - The so-called "End of the Broken Queen" with a temporary peace and yet, the heroes lose.
Hymnwake (Estimated around 200 Cards) - Covers AT3.
