Ar Tonelico: Melody of Aeternitas
Lacking information. I'll update this occasionally.
The story takes place one-two years after Metafalica was created. Though the birth of new land was a success, a sudden decline emerged all around Ar Ciel surrounding the three towers. Their systems have been malfunctioning, causing longer maintenance times, and anonymous glitches and bugs found which even those like Mir cannot interpret. Evident enough, this has caused a major influence on the reyvateil's who depend on the towers for liability; their connection to the tower has decreased and find it harder to craft song magic. While this is happening, Frelia's tower is yet to be repaired, and Tyria's commotion has yet subsided via with Cocona's journey there. In the midst of crisis, the very existence of the towers may mysteriously be terminated as they cannot fight against these strange viruses corroding them to nothing. Completely out of the Origin's hands, many have been sent out to investigate, and researchers in hopes to find a solution, even better, a reason or cause of the problem. Scientists and researchers today have theorized the reason for their depression is the Origin's exhaustion of handling their own base.
Figments of a Broken Dream
Phase one takes place in a swamp area far north of the mainland. This chapter is focused meeting the party members and introducing them to a small part of the storyline; where they deal with semi-difficult challenges in and outdoors. Lilian traveled in order to find a song called [OVERHOLDE] hoping it can alter the world's sudden depression, located in the ancient ruins. The majority of the characters party up to help in Lilian's quest. There's a sea serpent haunting the waters and the antagonists (Lilium and Wodring) are already on the move. Lilium has already interrogated a few of the characters, making plot holes which are revealed in later phases. For example, Lilium's vast knowledge caused Hayden to become more aware and insecure of his creation. The group eventually separates randomly, revealing different paths and stories of each individual character.
Hayden A. Chesmire
Hymn Code: HAYDN_ADAM_ARM_SOL=MARTA
Element: Fire, Ice
He's a man-made humanoid under Wodring's surveillance. He's very quiet and passive when it comes to conversations, and may sometimes be mistaken for rudeness. He's been secluded in a research facility for his entire life, given textbooks and lessons about the world and the basic rules of being a gentleman. Because he was still under beta, many were cautious about his obedience and kept him under low profile. He is a rare reyvateil, managing to surpass the rule of men unable to become reyvateil as his chromosomes were altered to by-pass the lack-of-energy to connect to a tower. But unlike ordinary reyvateil's, his LEM only lasts for 7 weeks. Wodring and his co-workers implanted a virus in his system which would activate when he sings a song to Lilian that would attach his life agent to hers to feed off her life force.
Hymn Code: - -
A young IPD reyvateil who ambushed Tasha and Lilian in the forest. She comes from the Blackmarket in the lower region, working as a salesperson. She comes off as a very controlled and serene pre-teen, always focusing on her objective. Unlike normal reyvateil's, she has the ability to summon familiars by singing. Summoning takes a long time to perform so she cannot summon instantaneously. She can't sing standard song magic (ie. energy ball), and must rely on her familiars to do the fighting. If they are defeated, she has to sing again. Iluysa also can't sing very fast and lacks the ability to perform synchronicity chains. Iluysa says her familiars feed off her song magic, but Lilium says otherwise.
Lilian Eve Arterial
Hymn Code: LYLIA_EVE_BINARY
Element: - -
Lilian travels across the world as an apothecary and songstress, administering medicine and singing songs. She appears in most of the phases of the story. She currently set aside her miscellaneous jobs to investigate the mysterious of the world beyond the mainland. She is a kind, soft-spoken, and gentle woman who strays away from battles. Many civilians tend to like her for her sweetness and beauty, granting her many connections and allies in towns, villages, and cities. Lilian has incredible knowledge of Ar Ciel, but is semi-oblivious to the newer generation. As a reyvateil, she possesses tremendous power, but what makes her unique is her independence from any song server due to her strange hymn code. She bears a rune on her forehead that glows mysteriously according to her emotions and current events in the storyline. Currently, she's searching for something that would hopefully benefit Ar Ciel. She's called the White Maiden because she's always seen wearing white. Her real name is Lylia.
Hymn Code: SAKU_TEIWAZ_ARTONELICO
Element: Fire, Water
Sakura appears in the first phase as a traveler wandering around the swamp trying to locate the ancient ruin. She escaped a research facility in Platina, who then fell victim to experimentation. This caused her to have a strong dislike for science, and becomes offended when someone refers to reyvateil's as singing dolls, or mistreat them. In her retreat, she settled down in a peaceful life in Firefly alley working as a bookstore owner and a dive therapist. She's a Misha and Mir fan, thinking highly of them for their deeds which helped and shaped Ar Ciel positively. After a while, Sakura left her peaceful life to find answers about the strange occurrences happening in the outskirts. While she posses as a kind and caring, she has a personality complex where she acts between a tsundere or a yandere.
Utau Reverie Kullweet
Hymn Code: UTAU_TEIWAZ_ARTONELICO
Age: 400+ appearing 20
Utau lost her memory in an incident and has no recollection about herself. Eiji found her and took her in and as become dependent on him for security. She's actually over four hundred years old, but was memory wiped and lost all knowledge and power she knew prior to her amnesia. Utau likes to read, knowledge, and dressing up in various wares (much to Eiji's liking). She has a broad dislike for humans (except for Eiji), blood, ghosts and spirits. She's timid and curious about many things, causing her to re-learn even the most basic essentials of life. She dreams to have her memory restored and the reason why it has been destroyed in the first place.
Eiji V. Siegheart
Weapon: Yikin (Long, sharp edge) & Yantou (Short, blunt edge)
The self-proclaim reyvateil ranger who took Utau under his wing. Eiji is an idealist and carefree man who is trying to establish the Reyvateil Resue Ranger agency (RRR) to save and assist reyvateil's who have been mistreated. He dislikes wasting food and enjoys sleeping outdoors, listening to hymmnos, and site-seeing. He carries around a huge duffle bag enough to fill an entire house. He has a hobby of cooking delicious meals and humming while fighting. He and Utau encountered Lilian, Tasha, and Iluysa in the forest in phase one when hearing a disturbance in the woods. Though humble and reasonable, he is weak against sexy women and nosebleeds when seeing anything provocative. Eiji's misunderstood as a pervert, but is not shy to admit much to Sakura's chagrin. He ends his sentences with ~degozaru.
Like Kita, Fornark is a member of the mercenary group. He's been assigned to take watch and patrol over the village after the party made a huge ruckus. Since then, he's been keeping guard and gathering information. He is calm, respectful, and cohort. He wears a clad of armor and leather to protect himself from severe damage. He is a gentleman who likes to please others, and can be easily bashful when given a compliment or two. There is another side to Fornark many take for granted: he has a crazy fetish for pillows, known to have a complete 180 for the benefit of "softness and fluff".
Element: Earth, Wind
Kita comes from a mercenary group working side by side with the government as a fellow officer investigating problems all around Ar Ciel. Kita was assigned to the forests where the characters are in phase one when hearing about the rapture of the sea serpent and Wodring's appearance. She's very generous and isn't afraid to speak her mind when it deems necessary. She's proficient with a bow, able to shoot multiple arrows at once along with the special ability to cast earth and wind magic. Due to her constant traveling, she can withstand the most horrible of weathers even if only wearing her leather garbs. She dislikes people who whine and those unable to think for themselves rationally. Her family works in a bakery store, well known for their cinnamon buns.
Weapon: .45 caliber duel colt M1911A1
An adventurous teenager of the Godspell family. He wanders around with no real purposes other than entertainment. Not only that, he carries around a special pouch which he picked up on his travels. It activates after Tasha exclaims, "Dimensional Pouch!", which he then uses as a substitute for baggage. After his mother's passing, Tasha's uncle made him a set of guns as parting gifts. Afterward, Tasha came up with an interesting technique where he no longer needs to reload, proven to be quite useful in battle. He can even shoot magical bullets. He encountered Lilian in the temple and 'escorted' her through the swamp. At times, he can be blunt and come off as inconsiderate and childish, but he is selfless and tries to do his best in any given situation. He always tries to keep his promises.
Weapon: Chain Sword
Vidor appears in the story by breaking down Eoria's route in the temple of the first phase. He comes off as a very shady, rough, and filled with pride. His mind is continuously tortured by the sins of his past to the point he has become neutral about life's tragedies; he tries to calm his mind and purge his nightmares by doing simplistic things to get away from his murderous status. He has a mechanical right arm with a punch piston, but his main weapon is his chain sword. Vidor also likes playing dirty, carrying a multitude of items underneath his clothes. He's currently looking for someone, in the end escorts Lilian (who he's uncomfortable with) throughout the rest of the temple in exchange of finding an exit. He made a deal to help Lilian find EXEC_OVERHOLDE/. at the end of the hallway, only to encounter him to stick with Lilian for a while longer.
Lilium Aterial Griel
A woman who knows plentiful of information. She's been living in the village by the ruins for a a year. Lilium originally was an officer in the military, branching off in many departments. Wodring and herself had been partners, facing many challenges which eventually caused Wodring to be dependent on her for information. Lilium also worked in the intelligence department as a scientist, conducting research as the royal family and others desired. She has powerful magic, been seen with the ability to summoning, levitation, telekinesis, and teleportation (which has been redundantly classified as 'Arcane'). Mysteriously, she has the power to convert energy into hymn crystals, as seen in phase one when Lilian attempted to convert EXEC_OVERHOLDE/.. She has an unknown connection to the hymmnos language, which she also uses in her summoning arts. Her reasons for meddling with the main cast is still classified. She calls Lilian, Lylia.

Element: Ice, Darkness
A low self-esteem reyvateil who accepts her grotesque title as a singing doll. Due to a certain incident, her body was severely damaged whom Lilium stitched together to keep her alive due to the request of her Master. In spite of this, Rosabella's body parts do not match each other and finds herself disgusting and ugly. Her entire cosmosphere was destroyed with the horror of having to look like Frankenstein. She smashes mirrors and is extremely jealous of beautiful women and anyone who tries to get close to her Master. Rosabella's life had taken a toll for the worse and is now under Lilium and the Master's jurisdiction. The only people she trusts is her Master, Lilium, and Wodring. Though Rosabella's mind is fixed into being considered ugly and used as a weapon, Lilium often tries to convince her it is the inside that counts, and that considers of what makes someone beautiful and unique.
Weapon: Dual Blades
An obsessive man everyone refers to as Commander Wodring. He has his own army of troopers and many bases nearby towns and cities. He introduced Hayden to Lilium in the village she secluded herself in. Lilium and Wodring have been partners in the military until Lilium disbanded due to unknown reasons. With Lilium gone, Wodring, too, left his post and made a guild of his own with affiliations with the military to fund him. He's been tracking down Lilian for a long time who he refers to as Lylia; though he tends to switch between the two names. He's cool, calm, collected, and shady, doing anything to get what he wants.
