Drama CD Side Chroche - Young Chroche and the Slum Life

Different from the other two main character Drama CDs, we start off with a very young voice. It's Chroche when she was a preteen.

The likely origin of her stuffed animal obsession or rather her stuffed frog doll interest is revealed in this story. She recieves it as a gift from kids she helps and is asked to treasure it. This also is likely the origin of Chroche's fanclub.

This is a drama about Chroche finding out about Berserked IPDs, orphaned children, and other related matters.

The story starts a few short weeks before Chroche becomes a Miko (preistess).

Thief appears at Chroche's room and through a lot of talk and comedy, Chroche sneaks out of the palace (Thief's name is Ion) and reaches the slums where she finds out her identity is despised by everyone in the slums. (With Ion as the eldest, the second eldest is Lili. Lili knows who Chroche is at first glance.) Even with her identity hidden, she ends up staying overtime and Legris shows up at the door and her identity is revealed. The kids that liked her now hate her for that fact. (Chroche returns the doll given to her because it was a doll that the child who treasured it gave up) She ends up leaving with Legris but before they get too far, someone goes berserk. that person is Ion. They eventually calm her down and while discussing what to do with her (since she could still go berserk any moment), an older woman cries for help elsewhere. Chroche runs off to help (causing a lot of grief for Legris since he only came to pick up Chroche from where she was). Things happen and Chroche ends up crying because she was moments too late. Her tears tug on the hearts of the kids she's been with all this time and Lili tells her to stop (the kids are now able to trust the fact that she has been genuine all this time). The older child now tells Chroche that she'll trust her methods of cure. As Chroche and Legris leave, the little child with the doll runs up to tell her to wait and she runs back to her place to grab the little frog doll and gives it to Chroche once again.
The story returns to the palace again and now Chroche has already attained the Miko (preistess) status. Chroche's window has opened without her notice and she cries for help. Legris notices a piece of paper. Chroche reads it and says "She's (Ion) recovered and everyone's eating well ^.^" then minor talk and Chroche says she's gonna go get some rest, Legris says good night and leaves.

It would be great to translate this one line by line for the comedy that ensues in the beginning and the drama that occurs in the middle. This is "not as informative" as Jakuri's drama but it is beneficial to learning about the Croche fanclub, the environment or lifestyles within the slums, Chroche's treasured stuffed animal, IPD.

Kensou, could you explain to me what is a Dram CD... It is an anime or just a sound/mp3 where there is only conversation sound?

I hope AT2 should make an OVA like AT1...

it is as the name says. it is a drama (or story) on a cd. similar to music cds being cd with music, a drama cd is a cd with drama. check that link and see for yourself

A drama CD is an audio CD with only sounds. Think of it as an anime but without the graphics, only voices, sound effects and musics.

As for AT2 OVA... Seeing how horrible AT1's OVA is, I'd fear an AT2 OVA.

well, again as defense for AT1 OVA i have to repeat that it was only set as a promotional device so you really can't expect anything from it... and for the type of game it is, you can't compare it to say Quiz Magic Academy for instance...

I really hope that Ar Tonelico will be made into anime series... But in the right hand of course. The story is fantastic, for me, especially Cloche~sama and Jacqli story.

it should.. but the count hasn't gone up from very low numbers... whereas in the old forum they always went up and was at several hundreds....

Yeah... I was totally confused by that OVA. I watched it before playing the game, and they were nothing alike. At all.
