It looks like it should weigh more than she does, in the best tradition of video game swords, dating back to the days when sprite resolution was so low that swords had to be huge to be clearly visible. And it's "Linca", isn't it? From your post I was imagining Miss Inverse.

didn't notice it before but now i can see it.

though i'm not sure i remember the original picture but i can definitely see Marlone + Elfir resemblance in the two charas.

The official Atelier Ayesha website released a new promotional video where it introduces the playable characters accompanied with voices and gameplay segments.

Another gameplay video (how alchemy's done in the game) also accompanies the update.

Oh! And in case you aren't informed, GUST's myspace page has soundtrack samples available. Many of them are songs sung by the numerous singers brought in for the game such as Yanagi Nagi, Rurutia, Shimotsuki Haruka, Saya, and Nomiyama Mutsumi.

alchemy is pretty neat. there's varying levels of elementals in every mixture and that can increase the item level so that you gain additional effects.

order of items and skill usage seems to affect the process a lot... and there's an overall cost for actions.

otherwise, it's pretty much the same old alchemy system as the atelier iris/mana khemia. where things seem to only have the one type... i think...

as you do things in the game, you accumulate "memory points".

by consuming the memory points, you advance the scenario. these scenarios are recorded into a diary where you can find recipes or even bonus stuff.

The game will have among its DLC a BGM changing mode, with the eligible songs being over 1600 tracks picked from all the games Gust has released so far (leaving out only the Ar tonelico games, Karyuujou, and Welcome House 1 & 2), and all of the rearrangement CDs that accompanied them.

I guess this is Gust's way of ensuring that no one complains about the music.

Yep, there is quite a bit of music taken from Gust's non-Atelier games: Falcata, Meru Purana, The Adventures of Robin Lloyd, Hresvelgr, Kuroi Hitomi no Noir ~Cielgris Fantasm~, and Taishou Mononoke Ibunroku. Unfortunately, the price is still an unknown.
