"Please, tell your brother that he should be careful with the Chalon de Trois, Miss! Wab- I mean-, Songstone Biscuits it would be then, please.""
"It's no worry. The boy has an iron stomach. Never once he got sick for eating these strange things. Stone Biscuits huh? Gaspard says they are hard as... well.. a songstone. Prepare your teeth." Victoria said, giving the girl one of the biscuits.
Victoria still had a few Uta to spend and there was nothing better for a girl like V to "invest" her deserved money that wasn't "gifts" for herself. She signaled for Celetille to join her, and moved to a gift stand. It didn't take long before she saw what she wanted. Three cute chain bracelets, one was light purple and adorned with a diamond-shaped purple stone, probably a songstone; another was yellow-ish golden adorned with a dandelion-shaped yellow stone; and the third was silvery gray, adorned with a Sol-shaped silver stone. She also found an unisex ring with all Hoshimeguri symbols engraved in it, and a thirteenth symbol, representing Ciela herself. "This is just perfect!" the girl thought happily, buying the four objects. She returned to Celetille and showed the girl the chains, holding them between her fingers, she said:
"Look at this! Aren't they cute? They are gifts from me to my roommates. This is Rykhas', because, like a dandelion, she looks delicate, but by spreading her seeds, she can grow in virtually anywhere. This one is for you, because just like Sol, you have the potential shine brightly, with a light that can guide the paths and warm the days, but this same light can be harmful to you and those around you, blinding and burning those illuminated by it. And this one is for me, of course, because I'm a precious treasure in a world covered in ruins and trash. Of course, I only met Rykhas once, so I'm not sure if the gift is right. It's still a cute gift, regardless of its meaning, right?
She gazed at bracelets, closed her eyes and said a prayer: "Presia, Glasden Ru, noime ieeya mea. Rrha zweie erra wearequewie karf zeeth cenjue anw ture en lhasya omnis sos ar ciel." Victoria put her bracelet on. The purple color stood out against her white skin. She then handed Celetille her gift saying: "These chains shall represent the bond the three of us will form for the rest of our lives. I shall give Rykhas' tomorrow."
After walking a bit more looking at the stands, she turned to Celetille and said: "Oh, Celetille dear. I shall return to our bedroom now. This last night was enjoyable. I thank you for your pleasant company. You don't have to join me on the walk back, dear. Stay a bit more in the party, enjoy yourself. I don't plan to go directly to the room. I would love to say that I see you tomorrow in class, but that would be a lie. Perhaps if we don't see each other again in the dorm room tonight or tomorrow morning, we will see each other on the next night. Until then." And making another small courtesy, Victoria left the party. When she arrived at the elevator, she heard the faint announcement from the Headmaster:
"With this I conclude this festival. Thank you everyone for your participation, especially you, freshmen. It is always nice to see you active in this kind of activities. With that said, you are now dismissed t go to your dorms and have a night of rest, after all, tomorrow is the real first day of class! Good night, everyone. And remember -- the Wills are always watching over you."
Victoria rode the elevator up. It was empty save for two senior boys who started whispering while giving quick stares at her when she entered the elevator. "You boys don't need to whisper your love confessions to each other. I'm not bothered at all by homosexuality." With that comment, the boys went silent, and each moved to a corner of the elevator, facing the walls instead of Victoria. She left the elevator and began walking around the school's hallways. They were empty, save for some scattered groups who wanted to be away from the noises of the party. After a short walk, she stopped at one of the libraries. She found the book she wanted, it was a book about Walphish. She turned the pages without reading, just looking at the picture. She finally stopped at the picture of a man. Judging from his clothes and his companions, he was a really important person. She placed the ring besides the book.
"You were the first one I lost. Yaslash pizkel, lehrelata mea. she said, while passing her fingers over the picture. Victoria then looked at the ring. She slowly passed her fingers on the engravings, stopping at Saranoyomei's symbol. She firmly looked at that symbol, as if she was trying to see something hidden in it. Breaking the intense stare, she gazed at the stars through a window, specifically the constellation representing that symbol. She closed her eyes and said another prayer while shedding a tear. "You were the second one I lost. Yasra dius manaf, inferiare terrma mea." Finally, she put one hand above her heart and the other on her bandages. "Don't you dare be the third one, you hear me? I'll not be able to be here all the time to protect you! If you leave me too, I'll kill you!" She stayed quiet for a few minutes, no tears, no nothing. She wondered is she should return to the dorm, or just spend the night walking around the school. She didn't have to sleep anyways, not for quite some time, since she already slept last week. But what was the point of prolonging that night? The quicker she ended it, the easier it would be. She left her meditative state and walked back to the dorm.
For her surprise, the place was empty. Celetille didn't arrive yet, and judging by the fact the dress was still on the bed, Rykhas' never even came back to the dorm. She wondered if the girl got lost at the school's grounds. Victoria neatly put the dress away, safely stored her things on a drawer, put the food in the fridge and wrote on the same note with her beautiful calligraphy:
Dear Rykhas,
Celetille and I already went to the party, tired of waiting for your return. These are the clothes I separated for you to wear at the party. You don't have to wear them if you don't want, but I recommend so, because they are the best clothes you can wear for this occasion. Until the party.
Kisses, Victoria.
PS: A shame you could never attend to the party. However, don't get sad or anything, for I bought you a gift. I shall give it to you tomorrow.
PPS: The food containers in the fridge, don't open it, unless you want to get nauseated.
Victoria undressed. She pondered if she should take another shower, but didn't see it as necessary. Putting her white night gal, she lay down on her bed and feel sound asleep in an instant. She dreamt about Nyo?s in cages on a rainy night.
