FINALLY.

Track 5, セイレーン -Ήρωες Αργοναύτες- is so far my favorite. Though I loved the rest too.

Actually there's so much I have in my mind about these songs, but the biggest of them is... Am I the only one who realized that the last track, 英雄葬, is a remix?

Sorry for incoming here without any advise, but I'm a huge fan of Akiko (you can find me on Pantalea forums) and I read this topic almost every day lol What do you mean with "remix"? I didin't catch it and I'm curious!

Anyway, I think it's one of those "untitled scrapped songs" she composed for Ar tonelico. This song is played during the commentary by the violinist in her Ave Maria live performance. Well, not exactly "this song" but the melody is perfectly similar. Yes, no doubt it's the very same melody.

My guess is she picked it up again and remixed it for this song.

Oh god you're right. I wonder why she waited so long before publishing it °___° It also seems it originally had japanese lyrics... and that she performed it live (?)

Yeah she performed it live but... I think it's Italian not Japanese. Can't be too sure though, the lyrics are not really clear orz

Humm... Is it possible to find the performance somewhere? I'd really like to see it... But I think it won't be simple.

As far as I see it, no. There are no other recordings in the internet of her singing in that concert unless I missed something, but that's very unlikely. orz

I have watched the original video too, but I never noticed the song that played when mr.Hakase was speaking... And even if I did, it would be very hard for me to notice that it was the same song without watching the Ave Maria video again.

I have a guess too, maybe it was supposed to be in Istoria Musa? Since both the Hats fest and Istoria Musa are from 2007?

Another mysterious song of akiko is her version of Chi vuol la zingarella? She has performed it at least twice (Navigatoria and Laylania) but we never listened to it ...
and Danza, fanciulla gentile, only performed in Navigatoria, I think. Both of them must be very nice with Akiko, or not, there is no way to know

Amazing Trass is amazing......


One thing I found about this Album is in the booklet.....
and it seems that Shikata synthesized her percussion and many things a lot..
as we can see that all tracks are given the name of musician, and then "And the rest of intruments are played by Akiko Shikata"
and the rest of them are all Drums, percussion, some strange sounds, and mostly all can be synthesized....


I love Seiren as well, but now, I'm in love with Thrylos, and her Festival-like melody.

Tho, I can get that Orpheus, Kalliope's son, travel with Argonout, so they encounter Sirens...
How Thetis fits in all of this? lol
(and it make me wonder around wiki for a while too... lol)

I'm really happy for this new release, which probably will contain the full version of Toumei Nostalgia (I hope so). Hope she'll perform for a new anime soon this year and please Akiko give us a DVD release, with YOU and not just animated movies.

Amazon.jp just got some more Istoria~Kalliope~ CD's in stock (not limited edition, although there are a few vendors there selling them for twice what they were initially worth)...I just bought mine (CD only) since I can't afford, and probably never will given how rare it is already, the limited edition...

And it happens you were spot-on, Trass. (this comment comes pretty late, doesn't it?)

According to some info I read, that song is titled Se Enan Iroa (Σ'έναν ήρωα) and was pretty much planned to be a preview for Shikata-sama's Istoria ~Kalliope~ album. We all know now for what song it ended being a preview, no?

And for now, to wait for her works on Ciel noSurge, and for the Laylania single...

I don't know if you guys already know this but Shimotsuki is releasing a new album on the 25th this month, called Aria of the Spilled Sand or something like that. It features her ARIA conlang and seems to be a sequel to Tindharia no Tane.
