I know how that feels. I even had a 3-day blackout due to a storm a long time ago. It was scary.

Been there too, hurricane Ike managed to make it all the way up to Cincinnati and it blew out my power for a few days . . . worst thing wasn't the lack of power, rather the fact that my mom and I had just bothered to spend a lot of money on food for our fridge that same day and it all spoiled.

I feel you guys on that one. We were without power for a week after Hurricane Katrina back in 2005. Thankfully, we had a gas range so we could cook food before it went bad.

Beta-Type-Jakuri wrote:Well, at least you were able to cook the food before it spoiled, I lived in an apartment complex, it's builders did everything as cheap as possible so we were stuck with electric stoves, pretty much everything went bad that we didn't ingest after the first day.
EDIT: I got me a pet turtle for a few days.Yay, I've always wanted a turtle!!
