Who's the most popular singer? Who's the most popular Seiyuu?

Mizuki Nana has quite a big following. It surprised me on anisummer 2008 performance. I did watch 2007 and she was there too but perhaps it's been a while since but 2008 performance, the crowd reaction really surprised me.

I think that the most popular song artist would be either Gackt or Ayumi~nya. For seiyuu, I'm thinking Aya Hirano.

Gackt and Ayumi?.. .. they are not as known for the anime songs right?... ...only referring to the anime song artists.. m.o.v.e is a popular group.

For me its Tanaka Rie. ^_^
She's played the voice of so many characters, Suigintou, Chi/Freya, Lacus Clyne/Meer Campbell, and the list goes on.

Sakamoto Maaya is a pretty big seiyuu, isn't she? I know she's known more for her actual singing, but she did start as a seiyuu and still does voices as well. Most of the other ones I knwo for sure have already been listed, so I won't bother.

And no, I don't' think Gackt or Ayumi are known for their anime songs. I don't know too much about Ayumi, other than she did some random Inuyasha songs, but for Gakt, I do know he's done a few voices and songs, but probably more of a side thing or something. I know he was a voice in FF7 Dirge/Crisis Core as well as in Bujingai, and I also know he did songs for the new Hokuto no Ken and Tehxnolyze animes, but I don't think he's done too much else.

yui horie is also wildly popular.

my favs? yui horie, yukari tamura, hiromi sato, nana mizuki, ami koshimizu, miyuki sawashiro, rie tanaka, ui miyazaki, sakura nogawa, ai shimizu, saori goto, yui sakakibara, yuuko goto, aya hirano, chihara minori, rie kugimiya, rita (and i love their music a lot and listen all the time)

haha... the character in Bujingai WAS Gackt xD they transferred him into the game didn't you know? XD seriously.

and the other games were also ones where he requested to be a character in the game.. G Soldier was created to be Gackt. in other words, G Soldier = Gackt Soldier = Gackt.

As far as I know, the only crossover like that that was done was a promotional short for Rumiko Takahashi's last year exhibition, where they did a crossover between the characters of her most popular series (Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha).

On-topic, I don't know much about the current state of seiyuus and anime singers, though my personal favorite seiyuu is Orikasa Ai, who voiced Pietro in the Popolocrois Monogatari series, and Quatre in Gundam Wing, plus she also is a singer.

I don't know, a lot of seiyuu associated with Tanaka Rie have played leading roles in both Ar tonelico's.

I'm not sure who's the most POPULAR seiyuu, although it seems like Horie Yui, Mizuki Nana, Daisuke Ono, and Hirano Aya are among them...

My favorites are definitely Sawashiro Miyuki, Noto Mamiko, Horie Yui, and Kawasumi Ayako among others though. Sawashiro Miyuki-sama being my most favorite... Heck, I'm advocating for dual-audio in video games because of her... Ar tonelico II and now Oboro Muramasa. >__>

Horie Yui and YUI are among my favorite anime singers.
