Chaude's Workshop

Postby Chaude » Thursday October 15, 2009 9:27 pm

Hello, and welcome to my workshop thread :) .

This will be where I'll be connecting any and all stories I create or co-create with another for your enjoyment. I'm still relatively new to novel writing, with only two short stories underneath my belt (and an unfinished 111pg. novel prototype), but I wish to do my best and create and present stories that are enjoyable yet inspiring in an uncertain world. Any constructive criticism is welcome, as this is one of the main ways for me to improve my novel writing. Any ideas you'd like to see are also welcome, so long as I'm able to fit it into the story. Thank you and enjoy your stay on this thread.

Note: For now, once I get a chapter out, it'll be posted on my FanFiction.net account via here.

Note#2: I can do up to two projects at any given time. Let me know if you want to try something out when I don't have any projects or just a project going on :) .

Current Forum Projects:

- Game: ARM: Game, by Trass and forum members
    - Storyline developer

- Singing: "Envy" for Lin's CD. Learning to sing in Japanese for the first time, and waiting for family to be out of the house to con't practicing.

On Haitus projects:

- Short story: Ar Tonelico: Strife of Promised Earth (Working title), by Chaude and Yuzuriha

With online and R.L. things going on lately, until further notified, the short story is on haitus until more time is free between Yuzu's and I's schedules.

      - Anticipating 30 chapters, 26 of which are outlined, and ~67% of all planned chapters are finalized (outline-wise).
      - 6 original characters as main party, including Kaylan and Vincent. Final party size consists of 3 Reyvateils and 3 Humans, though only Kaylan will feature having Cosmosphere lvling
      - Setting: AT2, Story Plot: AT2 Story Plot, Note: Alternative scenes will be used that won't affect the original story plot.

      - Special thanks to: Ilutiern (Kaylan's drawings),. Thank you for your help and contribution.

      - (12/29): Currently working on: 1 of 3 Spell chant phrase sets completed (1/3 finalized), 1 of 2 original Hymns constructed (yet to be finalized before translated into Hymmnos later), fine-tuning original characters (65%-75% done), and name off a couple others when this list is smaller.

    R.L. Projects/Work:

    - Geo 204: City Mass Transit Project on system and service (12/22 update)

      - Completed: 20 page research project (6 pages of actual single-spaced text) that will be seen by the city's transit director and a copy sent to the local museum for future research.

      - Work: 40 hours per week for now on (got to pay off my student loans soon lol). Learning C.E.C. (Customer Experience Coordinator) duties in prep for management.

    Completed Works:

    - Non-Ar Tonelico short stories: Can be found on my FanFiction.net account here. (Recommend "Those Who Shake the World" By Blackhowling0)

    - Hymns I've attempted to create, though they're only in English version since I don't know Hymmnos.

      Spoiler:  [ Open ]
      Hymn: Exec_Reminisce/.

I sing this song in remembrance of our crossed paths in this uncertain world.
Concentrating, vivid times long past appear that I long to grasp and hold onto so dearly.
The times you and I shared were more than enjoyable. They were fulfilling.

Running free across the windy grasses, Flying high underneath the tranquil sky, I fell for you.
Playing, chasing, teasing, hugging, chatting, you fell for me.

I reminisce in this song of your silly smile you always shined with.
The many times you stepped on something or said something that brought upon the impossible, made me realize how alive and fortunate I am to have you, as I am to myself.
The gentle breeze dances all around you and I, gently plucking our hair. Your soft embrace of words comfort me, reinforcing my existence, blushing in response.
Oh, how I wish so longingly to relive the moment once again!

Running free across the windy grasses, Flying high underneath the tranquil sky, I fell for you.
Playing, chasing, teasing, hugging, chatting, you fell for me.

I pray in wishing for this concentration to last for all of eternity, the gem of my life.
I recall singing with you, our love's love song. Singing melody, you played your lute and sang the refrain on cue.
A wondrous love song, piercing through my thick layer of fear and distrust by your arrow of love.
Tender love, such a pure form. The light in the mist of darkness.

Running free across the windy grasses, Flying high underneath the tranquil sky, I fell for you.
Playing, chasing, teasing, hugging, chatting, you fell for me.

Now, I must return to our uncertain world.
How I miss you so much, I would do anything to see you once more.
I sing, I pray, I hope, to see you and hear your soft embrace of words once more.
To feel you next to me, to laugh and play with you once more.
I can only sing and dream until we meet again, my love.

    Requesting of some help:

While in development of Ar Tonelico: Strife of Promised Earth (Working title), I am hoping for some assistance in:

      - Translating English phrases into Pastalia and Standard Hymnos for spell chants, and a couple original Hymns I want to create. (Refer to "Currently working on" for updates)

      - An editor, just to double check any errors I miss.

    Story Writing: How-tos and Tips:

Everyone has different styles of using Hymmnos, so I'd recommend you check out this page to get an idea of people's styles :) the people who usually use Hymmnos are Deciare, Aquagon, Mây Lãng Du, L-Voss, Twilight Sky (though he's away at the moment), Phira Cia-Ravensteel, and myself. If you want Japanese, Mây Lãng Du or Aquagon are the ones to ask :)

For more in-depth, Deci and Aquagon are Supreme Masters of Standard Hymmnos, Mây Lãng Du is the equivalent of that for Pastalia, and L-Voss, Phira, and Twilight Sky are pretty much equally fluent in both. Aquagon and Mây Lãng Du can use the opposite dialects masterfully too; in fact, they're the ones who translated the Hymns in the Site-Related Projects and Discussion forum. I'm fluent in both as well, but lean towards Pastalia since I learned that crazy one first. Rose_mystica is the Pastalia Goddess, but she isn't on very much :T_T:

Also, you could also check out the Original Hymns topic on the second page of Silver Horn if you want to see some discussion. But there's 19 pages, so...

Thank you very much :yay:. I needed the room to tell the story, but I wasn't originally anticipating roughly 30 chapters . The scope of AT2 and getting into just one Revyateil's Cosmosphere required at least that much. Not sure how many pages per chapter, but got a rough idea for each one. Just need to flesh out a few of the characters a bit more and a few verifications of info to avoid issues on altering the main story plot (been replaying AT2 for the verifications), and a few other things before I can really start.

Hey Des, and welcome :). Sorry for the waaay late reply. Been drained from working on ARM: Game has been taking a toll on my lately with the possibilities and limitations a story in the works has, lol. Which member, if I may ask? *curious*

Thank you. :) For now, the short story is on hiatus until more time is free on both Yuzu's and I's schedules, but I don't plan on dropping it. It's more of those random ideas I get is how I do hymns, lol. Whatever I'm more deeply moved at that time is what the hymn becomes, but doesn't help being a bit restless lately with things going on and such.

Once ARM: Game is done (and I really want the storyline to be finalized by early to mid May), not only would that make up for hardly anything in this workshop, but more writings to look forward too~. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to be working on the game, but all good things need to come to an end, for new things to start. :)

Thank you :). You won't be seeing much for a little while longer, for the above reasons.
